I'm going to add a few more coming soon signs to the blank spots on the video page that would've had other types of videos. there, I'll add messaging boxes onto all of them as well.
One more thing I need to do is add a timetable to the website.
I've also added my latest video to the website and updated the playlist for Caj Caj.
In the news page I have a couple new reports on the newest patch for Overwatch players and the launch titles for the Nintendo Switch.
For the ident I wanted to use a character for a famous modern game and Overwatch is the most fun, popular and competitive arena shooter on the market right now.
Out of the full roster of characters (excluding Sombra) there a few fan favourites but i also want the characterr to be mostly green to relate it to the channel's colour, so far I've got; Genji the ninja, Lucio the DJ, Mercy the guardian angel, Reaper the dark mysterious killer, Soldier 76 the starter character,Tracer the games mascot and Widowmaker the sniper.
Out of these 7 characters only two are green by default
and out of the two one is highly competitive and the other is highly casual. Genji looks cool but he is too cold looking, Lucio has a casual look on top of his casual play style.
So in the end I decided to go with Lucio since he's an entirely casual character and he wears more green than the other characters in his popular game.
Every character has a highlight intro that is played at the end of a game where they made an outstanding play, so I want to use one of those as a base for my ident.
This intro has an effect i can use in my ident, the side swiping motion. I'm going to sync up the beat with the characters movements to make the screen swing from side to side and then I'll end it with a wipe cut to my website logo.
After adding appropriate music and some lighting effects this is what the final product looks like:
For my billboard ad I have decided to start with a background design that is used on the GINX TV website.
This is to make the advertisement seem familiar to viewers of the channel, so it will attract them. For people who don't know GINX TV I am going to include images from games that my main demographic would be interested in, along with a couple games outside my demographic to attract new viewers.
The games I've chosen for inclusion in my ad are:
Halo 5 Guardians
Overwatch
Split Second Velocity
Pokemon Sun/Moon
Horizon Zero Dawn
and Call of Duty Black Ops 3
The image below is an example of what I will try to recreate, as this was used to promote the gaming channel GINX's launch on Virgin Media.
So far I've managed to make the images into circles and I've settled on a composition for where they are all going to be placed.
This is the first draft:
I reused the circular imagery from the GINX ad because having a collection of bubbly images looks more relaxing than an orderly line of square or triangle images.
So far I have found out how to put circular boarders on the circular images and I've included the channels title.
Today I want to get some text on it.
I haven't added text yet but I have added some more colours to have some variety.
This is the second draft of the billboard ad for my CGC gaming website. I've added some minor details to each of the images included to stylize it for my audience, I put coloured rings around all the games that corresponded with their main themes, for example Pokemon had yellow for Pikachu, or white for overwatch members uniform colour.
The coloured rings were also ringed with black and/or dark green rings because it creates a nice effect that goes well with the background.
The reason I chose a blue and green colour scheme was because green and blue are colours that gamers associate with casual gaming, green makes you think of online/digital things like code, graphics and networks, whilst blue is a colour that is seen as relaxing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the final draft of my billboard ad.
I've added the original logo I created to for CGC to the billboard ad and i also added text to tell the viewer when my website is going to be online.
I have created some thumbnails for the news that I have covered in my News page, and I will make another in future for one of my shows to announce it.
So far i have made two and added the both to the thumbnail slideshow, one is for the No Mans Sky community and the other is for the Overwatch Halloween update. I chose these stories because the state of No Mans Sky's community is a popular subject at the moment as it was a highly anticipated title, and even though Overwatch is a mostly competitive game people who got the game on console play more casually and the halloween update had some fun content that the casual gamers enjoyed playing around with such as using new skins to hide in plain sight for certain maps.
This is the thumbnail for the Halloween update on Overwatch I used the orange colour for the text box to go along with the halloween theme of orange pumpkins. The image us two main menu screens blurred on the sides and joined together, this was to cram the space with the more appealing content of the update, the new skins are usually the most popular additions in these updates. I also chose the two most popular skins being Junkrat's "Doctor Junkenstein" and Mercy's "Witch" because they were the two most featured ones in the actual update. I decided to add a little more to the pixelated design of the text box because having black on top of orange is a nice contrast to the darker background of this halloween image.
This is a thumbnail for the No Mans Sky story, I used an image from the No Man's Sky promotional material because this is a very recognisable image for the game. I chose to use green in these regular stories to relate it to my logo as it has the same shade of green as my logo. The text is an exaggeration of the what's actually going on, this is to draw people into watching the video on it.
This is the Homepage for my website, the image of the banner ad is one of three images that cycle through like a slideshow, each one advertises something about gaming that's on the site.
The welcome sign is in the centre of the page (the first place a visitor would see).
This is a picture of the updated News page, the Nintendo content has been changed to something more significant and the background designs for all pages have been blurred out a bit in order to have the viewer feel like the the page itself is closer to them.
The images below are of the new video titles I gave my videos, "Caj Caj" is a slang term that means to do something casually, this title is meant to be a an ironic joke to the show as the players struggle in difficult games. I added the YouTube link to connect it to the YouTube channel which will feature the sam e videos.
The description of of Banter Battles have been altered to tell the viewer what the prize of winning the "battle" will be, its a comedic championship title which over hypes the winner.
The top 10 section has been changed to Top 10s rather than Top 10 of the Week, this way I can make a Top 10 as a one off type video instead of the regular shows.
